Details will be available soon for our next standard art residency, which is expected to take place from the 1st to the 10th of March 2025.
Our next art residency is expected to bring together up to 20 artists and aspiring artists to produce new work and develop new ideas under the guidance of our masterclass programme.
There will be daily two to three hours of semi-structured sessions over nine days, plus individual work and exploring the city of Chester.

We will not be responsible for additional costs such as your travel, visa or insurance. As you will be travelling and staying in Chester, all of the associated responsibilities will be up to you.
We will be providing the workspace, materials and teaching.
One of our external partners, who is accredited for public services under the UK legislation, will provide the accommodation.

This Art Residency programme has been designed by Dr Alexandru Modoi, based on the Courses and Workshops programme.
We expect that our Art Residency price for a standard programme of nine days:
For activities, materials and teaching for nine days: £790 per person.
Additionally, accommodation and food per person: £100 per day per person.
Discount is available for group bookings.
For groups, we can also discuss the duration and the corresponding price of a programme, starting from three days. Upon completion, participants will receive the ARTIST IN RESIDENCE AWARD.
The standard nine days Art Residency programme at the Chester Photo Festival will be conducted by Dr Alexandru Modoi.
A group people would be working together and presenting their photography work in Chester.
